Photo Shoot – Hutchins Family

Hutchins Family - 16

I *may* have gotten a little teary-eyed while working on these photos. Let me explain…

Hutchins Family - 1

The Hutchins are a wonderful family in our ward, and have become good friends over the time that we have lived here. We think they’re pretty great. But I’ll always be so grateful to Rachael for taking care of G-Man for the first two years I taught school after he was born. She started watching him for me one day a week when G-Man was five months old. Though it was nice to go teach and get myself out of the house that one day each week, it was torture to leave him. The only thing that made it okay was knowing that Rachael was watching him. She’s one of the most loving, kind people I know. And looking at these pictures of Rachael with her family reminded me of all of that, and then I started crying thinking about how much we’re going to miss living here.

*sigh*

This photo shoot has been many, many months in the making. It was a Christmas gift from G-Man to Rachael a couple of Christmases ago, but we haven’t been able to get the shoot done for a variety of reasons. I’m glad we were able to go take these – and at a spot that means a lot to both of us – the Boston LDS Temple.

I’d love to hear in the comments which are your favorites. I had a lot, but I think this one is my very favorite:

And if you know Aaron and know the girls’ personalities, I don’t have to explain why I love it or why it makes me laugh when I look at it. Enjoy!

I agree with Neal. I love the sisters picture!

YOUR favorite is MY favorite – the one of the family sitting on the lawn. Not sure if it’s a biased opinion, but they’re pretty much an awesome family. LOVE THEM! And your photo shoot captures the beauty of these great people! Thanks for sharing.

No offense to Aaron & Rachel, but the pic of the three girls is the best…

I get a little teary-eyed looking at these photos too! My favorite is the first one–the 3 girls. It is precious! Thank you Macy, from the bottom of my heart! These photos are a treasure. We wish you weren’t leaving–we are really going to miss you guys…

I think my favorite family shot is the one where the girls are hugging from behind. Love the color choices. Love the fact that Aaron can’t get a kiss! Love the one with Rachael hugging all the girls. Beautiful colors, Macy!

Photo Shoot – T. Family

T Family - 7

Though I was excited to see all the cousins on this trip, I must admit I was most excited to see Michal. Or rather, meet Michal. You see, though I have been reading her awesome blog for years and we’re virtual friends on Facebook and Twitter, I’d never had the chance to meet her in person.

Before we started the shoot, we went to Michal’s house to take a little break from our drive.  While we were there, I got a little jumpstart on the photo sessions with Michal’s youngest, Margaret, who was turning one the next day.

I met up with the entire family later for our last cousin shoot of the day, and had a great time with the kids. We got some fun pictures, and captured their personalities as well.

Macy, these are priceless. Thank you so much. My only regret is that we didn’t have more time together. The one of Margaret is so adorable– I could eat her up!

Alli and her cute little family were next for the cousin photo shoots. I hadn’t seen Alli since before I got married and moved to Massachusetts, so it was great to see her. Can you believe how blue her little boy’s eyes are? So cute…

We started the shoot with the boys and Alli, and then did some family shots when Flint arrived. I love the backlight on them in the field…
